"A new vision is needed. A vision that restores our natural state of wonder that arises from the heart. In this new paradigm of the heart, we will find ways to support our natural environment, oceans and wild animals. We are born into a world of connectivity but have forgotten to listen to the whisper of trees, the rhythm of the seasons and the beauty of anything wild, especially our own wild hearts. This book of nature poetry is inspired by years of loving nature even as forests disappear, species are going extinct, and pollution of soil, air and water are creating uninhabitable environments for all species." Where Everything Wild Has a Home are Christine’s McDonald’s love poems to nature, animals and to you. Let this collection of poems on Wild Writings, Reverence, Animals and Wisdom support you in your inner discovery and be a manual for caring and connecting with your own deep wild self.
Christine McDonald works as a forest soil scientist and environmental consultant and is a passionate gardener and hiker. She lives in the Palouse hills of eastern Washington with her husband and their dog Tobi. Her first book, My Two Mothers, A Collection of Poetry and Prose, came out in 2017 and explores the healing journey with her birth mother and the earth. Her second book Where Everything Wild Has a Home, Wild Poems came out in 2022.
